16-hour Hazmat General Site Worker Upgrade (24-hour to 40-hour)

Duration: 16-hr

This OSHA 16 Hour HAZWOPER Upgrade (from 24-hour to the 40 hour) course is designed for workers who have completed their 24-hour Hazmat General Site Worker training and want to upgrade to the 40-hour Hazmat General Site Worker certification. This is a great fit for workers who have had the 24-hour HAZWOPER, but still need the hands-on training on the specific equipment they will use. After consulting, we will tailor the class to meet your company’s individual needs.

Target Audience: Industry

Prerequisite: Must have completed the initial HAZWOPER 24-hour Hazmat General Site Worker and obtained 8-hours of Hazmat annual refresher training to maintain current certification (if applicable).

Annual refresher training is required to maintain certification

Course meets the following training requirements:

  • 29 CFR 1910.120(e)(3)(iv)
  • 29 CFR 1926.65(e)(3)(iv)

    Note: It is recommended that each employee enrolled in this class is currently monitored under your company’s medical surveillance and respiratory programs (as applicable). In view of HIPAA laws, we do not ask for medical records.
